DHEA (DEHYDROEPIANDROSTERONE):

DHEA is an androgen hormone produced in the adrenal gland and is instrumental in preventing and treating cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, diabetes, obesity, cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, immune system diseases, bacterial infections, viral infections, osteoporosis, asthma and allergies. Autoimmune diseases such as fibromyalgia, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and others have also proven to be effectively treated with DHEA.

ESTROGEN:

Estrogen is vital in a woman’s menstrual cycle working in conjunction with progesterone. Estrogen protects against heart disease, osteoporosis, stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, memory disorders, urinary incontinence and vaginal trophy in women. It improves the central nervous system and helps prevents symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes and night sweats. Deficiencies in Estrogen may result in fatigue, depression, mood swings, dropping breasts, increased facial wrinkles and decreased libido.

PROGESTERONE:

Progesterone is undoubtedly a very important hormone. It is produced in four areas of the body; the ovaries, the corpus luteum, the adrenal gland and the placenta in when a woman that is pregnant. Often used in the treatment of menopause, it protects against breast cancer, uterine cancer, ovarian cysts, fibrocystic diseases and osteoporosis. The difference between natural progesterone and synthetic progestin is very significant in relation to the side affects involved with the synthetics. For additional information on progesterone suggested reading is “NATURAL PROGESTERONE” by Dr. John R. Lee.

T-3 (LIOTHYRONINE):

Doses of T3 are administered to begin the effort to restore the body temperature levels to normal by supplying enough T3 to stimulate the cells. As soon as treatment is started with T3 a signal is sent to the thyroid gland letting it know that it does not need to produce as much T4 and T3 for a while. This helps reset the bodies system and bring the temperature as close to 98.6 as possible. For additional information suggested reading is “THE THYROID SOLUTION” by Dr. Ridha Arem.

TESTOSTERONE:

Testosterone is key in both males and females. Testosterone contributes to muscle mass, strength, endurance, exercise recovery, improvement in the quality of life and sex drive. It is the hormone of desire!

For the male, Testosterone helps protect against arthritis, hypertension and also cardiovascular disease. A male will benefit from decreased cholesterol, increased bone density, improvement of muscle mass, accelerated exercise recovery time, skin tone, increased libido and sexual performance. For additional information suggested reading for males is “THE TESTOSTERONE SYNDROME” by Eugene Shippen, M.D. and William Fryer.

For females, as a result of age-related reductions in adrenal and ovarian secretion, circulating androgens begin to decrease as she enters into menopause. After menopause, a woman’s total estrogen production decreases by as much as 50%.  Supplementation of natural testosterone can help.
